PB & banana smoothies

Peanut butter banana smoothies are one of my favourite afternoon treats. Being vegan, we don't have to feel guilty drinking rich creamy smoothies and milkshakes because they're generally made with natural nut or plant milks. So much lighter on your stomach and tastier than ever! I always add some superfood powders to my smoothies, even the sweet ones. Theres always benefits in a little superfood boost whenever you can fit it in!

Mesquite Powder
High in protein, magnesium, potassium, iron calcium and zinc. Low GI (stabilises blood sugar) and enhances foods with a hint of nutty sweet caramel. You can buy it at loving earth!

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbs peanut butter
  • ½ Tbs maca powder
  • ½ Tbs mesquite powder
  • 1 Tbs cacao powder
  • 1 Tbs hemp seeds

Process all ingredients; pour into a drinking device and slurrrrp!
Optional toppings: coconut shreds, hemp seeds or a sprinkle of maca.

 *If you would like a chilled version, peel and freeze the bananas overnight.
